We have now secured an adjacent piece of land to our Riverside site so we can begin to design and prepare the woodland for both schools and mental well-being organisations to learn and to recover.
Dawn Goodwin, Teaching Assistant at Spotland primary school, viewed the site and said. “It’s a brilliant location for a forest school, its just wild so the children can explore, they can choose their own boundaries, they can build dens just from the natural materials they find in the woods here. Get these children out here and they’ll learn so much more”.
